About Coach Kristy

I am a Mommy of 3 of my own children, 2 step children, and a beautiful pup named Penny.  My hubby and I both are triathletes and enjoy being in and around the water.  We’ve raised our children in South Florida but love to travel to new and different places.

 

I first found out about ISR when my first baby was 9 months old and we began building a pool at home.  I learned my Nanny did not know how to swim which started panic in me that I needed to find something for my little one to keep her safe.  Had I known about ISR before, I would have asked any caregiver I interviewed if they could swim and especially if they knew CPR/First Aid.

 

I enrolled my little peanut and while she cried a good deal of the time, I absolutely fell in love with what she was learning.  A few weeks into lessons and she could roll onto her back independently and float unassisted.  The skills she learned were exactly what I had hoped for.  As we wrapped up lessons, I realized this was the career path for me.  I wanted to give back to my community and be fulfilled.

 

Fast forward and all three of my children have been skilled with ISR and have always enjoyed the water.  Knowing they are skilled in the water made for much more enjoyable vacations and with time spent swimming at the beach and pool as a family.

 

I was certified with ISR in 2007 and have taught over 1,000 students.  I became a Master Instructor in 2011, in which I train Instructors for the program.  I’ve trained nearly 40 Instructors to date for ISR.  I've been serving the greater Boca Raton area for nearly 18 years. I absolutely LOVE what I do and cannot wait to work with your family!
